What happened in Chile since October 18th has changed everyone’s life in many ways. Personally, the first weeks was very emotional, it was like the life just stop and the only thing that matter was be participate and support the revolt and the social movement, go to march and express our discontent.

The best thing, it was see my town, Buin, so commited, joined and motivated with the revolt. I never believed people like my neighbours get out with the childrens and do “cacerolazo”, and sing out loud during the curfew.

During the first weeks, we met in “Plaza de armas” of the town, and all the social organisations like No + AFP, feminist collectives and specially the student movement, led by secondary students, told and explain us all the things that the people demand and why. In the afternoons, we reunited in assemblies and “cabildos”, or went to march for the principal streets of the town.

Until this week, the specific things that we has been achieve as a local community  is that the feminist collectives sent a written petition to the Mayor and the City hall, and the past  December 15th, the organisation "Unidad social de Buin" made a plebiscite because the Mayor  refused to do it.

Even so, the bad side about all this, is the savage repression to the protestors and the people who participate in any way. I had never seen so violence in this town, the police throwing tear gas or shooting rubber bullets to people, with childrens and old people there.

I know that what happened here cannot be compared with all the violence in the country, and  is very dissappointing that until now, only the ex minister Chadwick was punished for all the violence and repression, all the eye mutilation, all the deads, the injured, the sexual violence, all the human rights abuses. And the worst part, is the government doesn’t recongnise none of them.

So, although we have won some things like plebiscites for a new Constitution or agreements, the revolt still continue, because many things have to change and solve.
